Lacrime Amorose

Lacrime Amorose is a new baroque ensemble specialising in music from Italy and England in the 17th century. Our name (meaning Amorous Tears), embodies both the Pleasures and Pains of love; just as the music which we perform portrays both joy and suffering, typical of 17th century love songs.
Lacrime Amorose perform songs and instrumental music by well-known composers Purcell, Dowland, Morley, Monteverdi, Frescobaldi and Caccini as well as lesser known composers Kapsberger, d'India, Castaldi, Strozzi & Mazzocchi.
